Community Unity Program: COMMUNITY FAIR
Taking inspiration from the persistent efforts of community organizations working in the fields of HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, on the evening of May 10th, SCDI and community representatives in Vietnam organized the Community Fair program to express gratitude to fellow comrades sharing the mission of ending these three diseases worldwide. The event also welcomed the participation of members of the Global Fund Board for their 49th meeting, held for the first time in Hanoi.

Update on the progress of the Gender Identity Conversion Law project
On May 12th, the proposal to develop the Gender Identity Conversion Law was fundamentally revised and renamed as the Gender Identity Conversion Law. The proposal for the Gender Identity Conversion Law has received significant comment and support from other parliament members.

SCDI connects disadvantaged adolescents to vocational training programs at KOTO
In May 2023, SCDI connected 08 disadvantaged adolescents to vocational training programs at KOTO. The training program lasts for 2 years and provides not only specialized knowledge but also daily meals, accommodation, monthly living allowances, as well as soft skills training, English language classes, and support for psychological issues and healthcare.
After completing their studies, the students will receive certificates and receive guidance in finding suitable employment. At KOTO, they will have the opportunity to interact with peers who share similar backgrounds, making it easier for them to share, empathize, and support one another. Many KOTO graduates have achieved stable jobs and personal development, not only benefiting themselves but also helping their families overcome difficulties.
